I'm new to using Arduino and would like to trigger 1-2 channels of audio using motion for an art installation.

I have the Arduino Uno, a PIR motion sensor, and some speakers but am not sure how to code it or if I need anything else. Any help would be appreciated!

An Arduino can't do that (at least not without an audio shield).

It'll be much easier to use an audio trigger board, like the Adafruit Audio FX Sound Board. Just connect the PIR to one of the trigger pins.

You can connect "powered" speakers (like regular powered computer speakers) directly to an audio shield/board, but regular 4 or 8 Ohm speakers will need an amplifier.

Depending on how much logic you need and if you are better with hardware or software, you might not need an Arduino to drive the audio shield/board.

Always decouple electronic circuitry.
