Sorry guys if this is too of a dumb question but I'm not familiar at all with Linux.

I have seen a lot of post addressing the Dropbox to Yun connectivity but most of them are rather old and none of them shows how to fix the issue I'm having.

I'm following the instructions I have seen as follows

Code: [Select]
root@Yun28:~# opkg update

which seems to work ok

Downloading http://downloads.arduino.cc/openwrtyun/1/packages/Packages.gz.
Updated list of available packages in /var/opkg-lists/attitude_adjustment.
Downloading http://downloads.arduino.cc/openwrtyun/1/packages/Packages.sig.
Signature check passed.

Then
Code: [Select]
root@Yun28:~# opkg install distribute

which also seems to go OK

Package distribute (0.6.21-1) installed in root is up to date.

then

Code: [Select]
root@Yun28:~# opkg install python-openssl

again everything seems OK

Package python-openssl (2.7.3-2) installed in root is up to date.
root@Yun28:~# easy_install pip

and  finally
Code: [Select]
root@Yun28:~# pip install dropbox

and this is where I hit the wall

Not sure what am I doing wrong and any help will be truly appreciated.

I posted exactly the same question on Dropbox forum and I got the following answer:

It looks like this is an issue with 'pip' itself, and not Dropbox, so I'm afraid I can't be of help. It looks like the error message links to some informational pages though, so I recommend reviewing those, and contacting the support or community for pip or PyPI for further help.

Does the above enlightens anybody regarding the solution?

I refuse to accept that there is no solution to access Dropbox from an Arduino Yun !

Yun + Dropbox is a killer combination, how come they don't work together???

Hey Arduino Gurus / Creators / Developers, any hint?

Cheers!
