Topic: SD card on a TFT touch screen ILI9341 (Read 317 times) previous topic - next topic

Hello, recently I've bought an LCD TFT01 shield and a TFT Tocuh screen ILI9341.

I've been able to set them up following this thread:

My question is about the SDcard slot that comes with the TFT touch screen:
What can it be used for? That is what is the purpose of having data on that SD card?

It is used for holding and using an SD card. It can't do much else.

It is really handy if you don't have another SD somewhere else, and it makes a lot of sense to put one there, which goes quite some way to explain why it is common practice. Note that some require you to bridge a couple of solder pads before use.
