I got this
http://www.sparkfun.com/products/10266
I plug it in according to the first diagram on this page:
http://www.ladyada.net/learn/sensors/ir.html
and it works. When I press a button on the remote, the LED flashes. But if I don't press a button, the LED
still lights up,
but dimly. Any thoughts?

I sort of got it to work. But now the arduino can't read anything off digital read... It just reads zeros! HELP!
So the detector has to work, but why won't it send anything to the arduino?
