My NMEA Simulator uses Actisense format for communication. It does not need Actisense device. On my NMEA 2000 library there is ready example ActisenseSender, which works perfecly with Teensy 3.2.
Thanks Timo, I had to look into Actisense format. If I understand correctly, the simulator generates data as Actisense and sends it out. Why wouldn't I need an NGT-1 to interface the Actisense data from the simulator to the actual N2K bus?
