Hi,

I am a beginner and I found this topic about Intel support but I didn't really understand the language. My Intel Edison with Grove used to work a couple of months ago but now I can't run it.

When I tried the Arduino online, I am receiving this error:

fork/exec /home/builder/.arduino15/packages/Intel/tools/core2-32-poky-linux/1.6.2+1.0/i686/sysroots/pokysdk/usr/bin/i586-poky-linux/i586-poky-linux-g++: no such file or directory

However, if I try it in the desktop app, I am receiving this:
fork/exec /Users/Dudis/Library/Arduino15/packages/Intel/tools/core2-32-poky-linux/1.6.2+1.0/i686/pokysdk/usr/bin/i586-poky-linux/i586-poky-linux-g++: bad CPU type in executable
Error compiling for board Intel® Edison.

I understand that the problem could be my Mac OS recently updated to Catalina? What can I do to make it work again and build things?

Thank you and I apologies if I misunderstand anything.
Petr

Hello Petr,

Which version of Mac OS and Arduino IDE are you using?
Provide us the whole console error you're getting after uploading the blink sketch.

Note that support for this board is limited, since it is retired product.

Mac OS: Catalina - 10.15.4 (19E266)
Arduino IDE: https://create.arduino.cc/editor and I also tried app v. 1.8.8 but I am also getting an error

Error from downloaded Adruino 1.8.8:

Error compiling for board Intel® Edison.

I eventually tried to run it on HP laptop with Windows 10 and web Adruino and I got same error as with my Mac: fork/exec /home/builder/.arduino15/packages/Intel/tools/core2-32-poky-linux/1.6.2+1.0/i686/sysroots/pokysdk/usr/bin/i586-poky-linux/i586-poky-linux-g++: no such file or directory
