I have just bought an arduino. I was trying to make the rgb project, but I couldn´t upload the code. I found this:

I have a chinese copy, is Elegoo Mega 2560. I was trying to make the rgb project that comes in the manual of the starter kit.

Select the correct board from the Tools -> Board menu - you have selected some AVR microcontroller that is not the mega2560, which is what you should be using.
