Using a Wireless USB Adapter

I there any way I can use this Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter (www.amazon.com/GigaFast-54Mbps-802-11b-Wireless-Adapter/dp/B000FECACW) to make a wireless shield for my Arduino Uno?

But anyway no.

The arduino is not a USB host therefore you will need a host shield, then you need to write a software driver to interface it. I don't think anyone has done that and I am am not sure if there is enough memory or speed, on the arduino to do it.

I was not going to purchase one......I already have one (I got it for my old laptop that didn't have wireless capability.)
Now my new laptop is wireless and this thing is doing nothing.
Was looking at the sparkfun wireless shield and was wondering If I could use this to make my own?
But I guess not!

Wireless usb adapter sounds interesting does it works with a battery in it or it is like rechargeable ?
