Topic: Arduino IDE program won't open Surface Book Windows 10 (Read 362 times) previous topic - next topic

I am having troubles opening the Arduino IDE program. Opening the program via Cortana, from file explorer, etc. yields the Arduino logo at the center of the screen as if it is opening, but the logo disappears and the program never opens.

I have a Surface Book, Windows 10, I am running as an admin. IDE worked just fine a few days ago. I have tried deleting C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\arduino15 directory and starting IDE up again. I have also uninstalling and reinstalling IDE to no avail. When I run arduino_debug.exe I get a window that is too fast to read, so I have taken a screenshot and attached it.

Your help is much appreciated.
