can no longer upload to Nano after boards updated

Every since the arduino software updated the boards I have not been able to upload programs to my Nano. Everything worked before the software updated the boards. I am running mac osx 10.13.3 and arduino software 1.8.5 Port:"/dev/cu.wchusbserialfd140"

Select the old bootloader option.

I don't understand, the old boot loader option where and how? (72 year old newbie :confused:

Select Tools > Processor > ATmega328P (Old Bootloader)
