I am thinking of create an USB desktop Lamp with the design 3D printed and a button to press to Switch on/off a bulb or some led.
I don't really know what I need to use other than the Arduino and I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks you so much!

I hardly see why you need an arduino for this... is not a switch good enough?

You could use the arduino to see that someone is near before switching on/off the lamp (movement)
or
the color of the lamp dims if there is no more sound
or
the color changes based on frequency spectrum of the sounds
or
the lamp goes on with a secret knock
or
the lamp sends high speed data to light sensors by sending a millisecond byte every second
or
the lamp can be remote controlled by the RC of the TV
or
the lamp can be controlled freely over the internet (so anyone can switchon/off your light - fun)
or
the lamp shows with a special color that the toilet is occupied
or
the lamp matches the colors of the TV
or
anything you can think of ....

It needs to be USB rechargeable, so maybe do you think i need just a battery connected to a led and a Switch?
