At present, I am layouting a pcb that should fit on top of an arduino Uno board.
When I compare the eagle pcb layout to the actual board (or to the picture on arduino.cc) the text on the board seems to differ from the text in the eagle pcb layout. In order to check some of the distances between pins and holes, I downloaded the eagle files from the arduino website.I was wondering if this is the only difference between the eagle pcb layout and the actual pcb. I don't know more about it

We don't know which exact boards / layout you are referring to. Post links or pictures.

There are many UNO-board clones out there with different modifications.

Also the genuine UNO-board exists in many different revisions - which the latest one is named R3 (Revision 3)
