Topic: small, low power BLE sensors w/ WiFi and LoRa gateways (Read 406 times) previous topic - next topic

Just sharing a recent writeup of one of my projects using low cost and easy to program BLE modules with distributed WiFi or LoRa gateways.  It's a home automation wireless sensor project, but with a lot of emphasis on practical, small, battery powered devices.

I see a lot of effort to do things like make an "amazon button" out of ESP8266, but I didn't think the ESP8266 is very good for battery power projects.  Usually, it requires odd workarounds or compromising on battery life.

Looks interesting.

I wonder would you be kind enough to write a very simple tutorial for the Nordic BLE device here?

Two or three hours spent thinking and reading documentation solves most programming problems.
