Topic: WiFiNIna: WiFI.getTime() seems not to work with a fixed IP (Read 632 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi all,

following my test with a fixed IP, with the latests firmware upgrade the fixed IP is working, but a call to WiFI.getTime() stopped working.

I need it because I need a sort of absolute timestamp (not using RTC).
It was working if using DHCP, but now it returns always 0.

I have tried setting as DNS the IP of the router... no effect.

Try tcpdump on the router side, to see what packets are transmitted and received by the ESP32. Use Wireshark to analyze the traffic trace, and look for DNS and NTP packets. This will give you a hint on what might go wrong.
