Hi,

I programmed the ATMega168 board for a while without any problems, but suddenly got an error (marked red) uploading the LED-Blink program (during reading on-chip data):

avrdude done.  Thank you.

the selected serial port
does not exist or your board is not connected

There was no error on compilation. I'm sure I have chosen the right port and the right board in the Arduino IDE, so this shouldn't be the problem. Another unusual observation is that the TX & RX LED is both set on high even if I don't upload anything and the LED 13 is glowing very faintly. I've tried to reprogramm the device with MProg, turned the baud rate, but nothing helped. After looked at some forum posts, I suspect that the bootloader is damaged, but correct me if this is wrong. What should I do to solve the problem? Or is the board completely trash?

It would be nice, if somebody could help me to solve this problem.
thanks.
