Topic: Printing a string variable to a TFT display (Read 194 times) previous topic - next topic

Hi there,

recently I started with the Arduino and now I bought a TFT Diplay for my project.
I found out how to print text on it and to erase ist after but for my project I need to print a string variable.
Right now I´m using the Arduino TFT Library for that. I tried printing my string s with: TFTscreen.text(s, 20, 50) but it doesn´t seem to work. It always says "No matching function to call to ´TFT::text(String& int, int)´".
Am I using the right Library for this? Do I need to use another function? Or a whole different type of Variable?
And is there a way to erase a defined area on the display to print new stuff to it?

Thanks in advance for your answeres. :)
