Hey there, i build a 16 step 10 channel trigger sequencer with the arduino mega 1280 and now I got two things to do which I have the same problem with.

I want to set the tempo with a normal potentiometer by analog reading the high of its voltage, but i dont want the tempo to be fix if I set it up.
In addition to that I want to drive the sequencer bei 5V trigger pulses.
Now the problem is that i have no time to check each to trigger to be either a real trigger or just a mistake (noise) because the beat is delayed to the driving signal if i do it like that.

does anyone have an idea on how to solve this problem?

EDIT: I got to the external clock sync to work good. now I still have some problems with the potentiometer as reliable value for the tempo.
