Hi using windows 7 64 bit, on dell studio 1749.
Plug In genuine uno r3.
Two boards. one smd chip On this board 2 red leds flashing
Second board plug in AT328P. The green led on. Yellow led on. Press reset yellow led flashes on/off a number of times(fast) then stays on
On both boards verify a sketch say "blink".
