Thank you for the tip.

It solved the issue I faced with Arduino 1.8.12 and SAMD core package 1.8.6.

It appears the folder C:\Users<USER>\AppData\Local\arduino15\packages\arduino\tools\CMSIS\4.5.0\CMSIS\Include was just empty!
