Now I got this error: "We weren't able to configure the Crypto Chip."
Did you get a successful upload using Arduino Web Editor yet?

songTW

I tried it again today. I successfully configured the chip. I think Arduino should have some restrictions.
Your suggestion is very useful to me, I am sincerely grateful.

pert

I'm so glad to hear it's working for you now!

I think Arduino should have some restrictions.
I don't understand what you mean by this. Would you mind providing more details about your proposal?

songTW

I saw Arduino Create have a "maker plan".  If use the free plan, there is only 200 seconds of compilation time per day.

songTW

This erased my idea of buying Uno WiFi.

This may violate the original intention of Arduino.
After all, the board is already expensive.

pert

If you're concerned about the limits of Arduino Web Editor and you don't want to pay for the Maker Plan, just use the free open source Arduino IDE:
https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
  • Unlimited compilation time
  • Unlimited sketches
  • Unlimited libraries
  • Support for all 3rd party boards

Or if you prefer a command line interface, use free open source arduino-cli:
https://github.com/arduino/arduino-cli

They both support the Uno WiFi Rev2. Arduino Web Editor is just one option available to you.

I have the same problem with the MKRWIFI1010 on the arduinocreate site. Everything was installed flawlessly till Ive reached the crypto chip part. Ive tried all my USB 2.0 connections on my laptop without success.

I have the latest Firmware version installed according to WifiNina, which is 1.2.1.

The Agent version of the plugin is 1.1.88-83043b2. I use Win 7.

Please help.... :(
I didnt use it with the foam on. Not a single pin is used at the moment, but beforehand, I had a sensor connected while trying to configure the crypto chip. CreateAgent plugin is installed, see the quote beforehand to see the installed version. I'm using the Chrome browser.
Only the upload of the Blink script creates problems.

Ive uploaded the Blink script and it works, but still I get an error message:

I've used my third usb-port Ive completely forgot about and now there was no more samba issue on arduino create, when Ive used the online editor..... the compiling was successfull (green verbose output; see attachement). There is also no samba issue, when I use the Arduino IDE on my PC.

Your MKR WiFi 1010 has been set up correctly and added to your Device Manager!
You may now go to the Web Editor and use the Network Monitor  via Cloud.
As long as your code includes the WiFi configuration and the ArduinoIoTCloud Library , you'll be able to control your board from anywhere.
What. It just worked suddenly after 2 hours of trying around. Maybe the new USB-port helped, BUT it also took a few times till it magically worked....
