Topic: AREF pin on 33 ble (Read 251 times) previous topic - next topic

The following text appears in the description of most shops selling this board

AREF    Analog    Analog Reference; can be used as GPIO

How do you reference that pin, pinMode(AREF,INPUT); dose not compile

also checking the schematic of the board the AREF pin does not seem to be connected to anything.

All my board definitions and libraries are up to date.
Board version 1.1.3

Thanks

I could not find any reference to that pin in the schematic other than the connector, so it looks like the pin is not connected. And when you look at the datasheet the ADC allows to use the analog inputs as reference input. I did not see an option for another pin.

I am certain this is an error in the description of these websites. They all copied it from the same source.

Maybe the pin is NC and is there for compatibility with other boards.

Thanks for the quick reply, that's exactly the conclusion I had come to, it should probably be made clear in the documentation if there is any.
