I've done some searching around and have found other people asking basically this same question, but the solutions either don't seem to work for me or I'm not sure I understand the instructions. When I go to upload anything, it seems to go through ten cycles, displaying an error message saying how "programmer is not responding." Based off what I've gathered, I'm assuming this has some issue to do with the drivers. I'm brand new to all of this, and would really appreciate any help. For context, Im using a "MEGA 2560 R3" on a Mac, 10.14.4.

It may not be the answer you were looking for but its the one I am giving based on either experience, educated guess, google or the fact that you gave nothing to go with in the first place so I used my wonky crystal ball.
