Question about Wifi101_OTA

I initially had issues with the drivers not installing for my wifi 1010, but I have that solved. With that out of the way, my next goal is to get OTA working. I installed the OTA library from Jandrassy & uploaded the example sketch for the wifi 101. I ensured in the secrets file to put the correct username and password for the wifi network I'd like the board to connect to.

The uploads are successful, yet when I look at the serial monitor, nothing shows up at all. I checked to make sure my network is WPA which is true, yet the module won't give me an OTA port to connect to nor the IP address.

Any solutions to this?

EDIT: I am of course uploading the code via USB. Laptop is running Windows 10 Pro with Arduino Version 1.8.10

UPDATE: I instead used WIFININA and was able to connect to my WIFI network. However, the port  should pop up for wireless connection, but it doesn't.

Why can't I see the wireless port in my IDE?

Yes, I have seen those threads, none of them fixed my issue.
