Hey there,
I want to create a sound with a tuning forks activated by the electromagnetic field of a coil powered with a AC (first I wrote 'DC', my bad.) current. Just like it happens here.

This is a small piece of a larger project. Therefor the coil should be controlled and powered with an Arduino.

How would you build this? What are your ideas?

The coil is powered by AC at a frequency tuned to the fork. DC won't do anything. Arduinos are not good at producing AC and definitely can't themselves produce enough power to actually power something like that.



Jap, your right, of course it has to be AC.

What do you think, how much power has to be provided to make it work ?
