Hey all. I know there are a bunch of text-scrolling libraries out there for LED matrix displays, but I've put together a little retro-inspired text-scroller and wanted to share!

Check out the video and feel free to grab the code from GitHub.

It's running on an ESP2866 board and uses the FastLED library to drive a matrix built from WS2812b-controlled LEDs.

How is the matrix of the WS2812B LEDs made?
Are they individual LEDs?

Sorry, was expecting email notifications from the forum if anyone replied!

This is just a pre-made matrix I bought from eBay, e.g.: https://ebay.us/nWZvAI
