Chrome app not installed?

My students and myself use chromebooks for our class and today we were asked to install the chrome app, which we all already have. When we went to install the app, it said we needed to sign in, even though we were all signed into our chromebooks. Therefore, we couldn't upload any code today...

We also encountered this problem in our class yesterday. I emailed the helpdesk about this and they would look into this.

But th problem isn't solved yet I'm still getting the same message.

We are encountering the same problem.
I have 20 students in the middle of a final project.
If it's down much longer it's going to be devastating!
