Hello everyone!

I want to control with my Arduino an 16x16 LED matrix led drive by 8 x SCT2024 CSTG chips !

I did not find informations to apply it with an Arduino .. I have no idea about the wiring and i have no idea of the code. I'm having trouble understanding how this chip works.

but i have the datasheet :
SCT2024V01_03.pdf

My learning is basic, I take all advices !

Thank you in advance for your help

You have some homework to do before attempting a project like this. The part should work. Spend some time studying the SPI interface and how it works.  You may be shifting more then 8 bits and using chip selects. This response is to help you get started in solving your problem, not solve it for you.

Okay Gil, thanks for your advice !

In fact,
I want to re-use a 16x16 LED matrix which already includes a control PCB. The idea is to replace the PCB with an arduino.
The control PCB is soldered on the led matrix by 6 pins.

These 6 pins on the PCB are named :

- GND : GrouND -> OK.
- LAK : ??
- CLK : CLocK signal marks the arrival of each bit of data. -> OK.
- DA : ??
- EN : ??
- VCC : Supply Voltage -> OK.

I'm trying to find out what these names mean.

Ground, Latch (LA/), Clock, Data (SDI), Enable (OE), +Supply
It basically matches the datasheet for the SCT2024

OKAY !  ;)  Thank's HKJ-lygte !

With this informations, i will try to connect my Arduino and then fumble trying to turn on the LED !

Anyone know where I can find code documentation for LED matrix ?
A library is necessary to control this chip ?

Thank you very much for your advices and your patience, guys

Are you trying to mod the IKEA/Teenage Engineering FREKVENS LED Light?

If so I am also really interested!!!

Psyk0sushi

Yes TjaMeu ! i want hack this cube ;)

I had the exact same idea! Turns out it was relatively easy: https://gfycat.com/brownthatkinglet

Here's a gallery of the disassembly: https://imgur.com/a/Lk9bdTw

You can get it working by following any good shift register tutorial. Here are the pins:

GND: Ground
LAK: Latch
CLK: Clock
DA: Data
EN: Output Enable (just connect to ground)
VCC: 3.8V

Have fun hacking :D

Good job emsee ! I try this weekend.. I'll keep you informed !

@emsee is does the LED driver support variable brightness per pixel, or is it on/off?

I connected the shift registers PCB to my arduino ... But i need help to write the code :/

Pin 12 on my Arduino is Clock, pin 11 is Data and 8 is Latch.
