Why can't we have messages like this from the Arduino Website team when they make changes or when they have to tackle performance issues?

This would be a great suggestion for the forum software suggestions Robin.

It may not be the answer you were looking for but its the one I am giving based on either experience, educated guess, google or the fact that you gave nothing to go with in the first place so I used my wonky crystal ball.

Yep the thread for the "new" forum software request would be my first choice.

Yep the thread for the "new" forum software request would be my first choice.
I assume it would be possible with the existing software if the backroom boys are minded to keep their customers informed. There is no shortage of turquoise real-estate at the top of the page.

And, as I said in another Post, I would not like the absence of the facility to prevent the adoption of an otherwise satisfactory software package.
