my question is that i got my avr (atmega8-8pu(8mhz)) running with a parallel port and ponyprog, can i use ponyprog to burn sketches writen in arduino to my chip?
Yes. First, add an entry to programmers.txt for the PonyProg. Second, copy-and-paste an entry in boards.txt and modify the new entry to use the PonyProg.
