Topic: Arduino Uno as ISP (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I found on the internet that it is possible to make the arduino uno to be an ISP by pulling up the reset pin with a 120ohm resistor. I've tried to do this with 135,122 and 100ohm resistor but non of them have disabled the auto reset. What have I done wrong?  :|

You are going to have to be more specific.
What website did you use to wire your hardware?
A picture of your hardware setup would be great.  Schematic?
What OS are you running?   What level Arduino IDE are you using?
What specific error and/or error message did you get?

To disable the auto reset a 10uF (or larger up to say 100uF)  elecrolytic capacitor between reset and ground works better than the brute force and ignorance resistor method.  Using the Uno as an ISP requires that the AR is disbabled. The old Duemilanove didn't need it......

Thanks, I used a 10uF cap.
