Topic: Different IDE windows remembers their own com port as an option (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

I develop multiple projects on the same computer, where I simultaneously connect at least 2 arduinos or compatible boards to the computer and tweak codes between different arduinos on different IDE windows. So it would be nice to have an option to have each IDE window remembers its own choice of com port so I don't have to choose each time I upload. Right now if I choose com1 on one IDE window, the com1 is selected in all other IDE windows.

Thanks Rob. Just as an addition to my original post, maybe each IDE windows remembers its own board type, and baud rate. ;)

In general, they should be autonomous. Just two instances . Think the problem comes from sharing the preferences.
