unwanted button activation

I connected my button with about 600 ohms and when the light in the corridor (next to my room) is switched on, the button is activated (and the LED goes on). Then I soldered in a 10k resistor, but still have the same problem. please help.

It might be a good idea to say what you connected your button and LED to? Is an Arduino involved? If so how is it powered? Circuit diagram?
