In create.arduino.cc (code online) there is an error message:

No Chrome App Connection.   Uploading is disable until you reconnect.

There is a button to install an app.  The app is Arduino Create which has a fee.   Everything I read said I could program from a chromebook with the free tools.

Have connected with support from Elegoo (since the board came in an Elegoo kit) and twice they have failed to understand that this is for a Chromebook which has very little control over the USB port.

Many internet searches indicate it is easy to use the web editor with a Chromebook to connect yet none of the solutions have worked so far.

It will help you get the best out of the forum in the future.

If you updated your OS at all recently there was a small issue that appears to have broken the app.
I know they are working hard to fix the issue.

It may not be the answer you were looking for but its the one I am giving based on either experience, educated guess, google (who would have thunk it ! ) or the fact that you gave nothing to go with in the first place so I used my wonky crystal ball.
