The following error message jumps out to me, I've tried change to another port, this error message still jump out:

raise SerialException("could not open port {!r}: {!r}".format(self.portstr, ctypes.WinError()))
serial.serialutil.SerialException: could not open port 'COM6': OSError(22, 'The semaphore timeout period has expired.', None, 121)

disconnect ESP8266 from USB-port
start the device manager
windows-Key R

copy & paste into inputfield    mmc.exe C:\Windows\System32\devmgmt.msc

search for "connections (COM & LPT)
unfold the list
look into the list

connect ESP8266 to USB-port
the device-managerlist gets updated and another entry becomes visible under
connections (COM & LPT)

this is the comport of the ESP8266. If it does show a yellow error-sign at the new entry it is very likely that the virtual-comport-driver is not yet installed.

in most cases this virtualcomportdriver is for Chip CP2102  (CP2104)  or CH340
What is the operationg-system of the computer you are using?

Dear Stefan,

Thanks for your help! My computer runs in Wins10.
There still no change after reconnecting the nodemcu through USB to Arduino IDE directly, and also no change at COM6 & COM8.

could you translate for us what it says next to (COM6) & (COM8) ? if you unplug the nodeMCU while having the device manager open does one of the port disappear ?

If any kind of USB-device is plugged in or out you hear a charactersitic sound-signal.
If you are plugging in or out your nodeMCU-Board do you hear this sound?

If any USB-device gets recognized by the computer or gets unplugged
the window of the device-manager gets cleared and re-written new
Can you observe this clear and rewrite of the device-managers window?

If you do a double-click on the COM-Port entry in the device-manager another window pops up.
If there are still asian characters can you please change from shwoing asian characters to latin characters?

If you are unable to change from asian to latin characters you will have to ask in a asian speaking forum for the meaning.

Almost any PC or laptop has two or three maybe more "COM-Port-devices on board"

Please post a picture of your nodeMCU-board with high resolution so the letters printed on the chips is readableMCU

we have to determine if it is a CP2102 an CH340 or an FTDI-chip
Then you could try to install the driver manually

Some people have these sounds turned 'off'

Even if it's not recognized it should show up in the device manager, but with a yellow exclamation mark next to it.
