Chapter 3 - concepts - 3.1 DC motors.

I am new to Arduino, and recently purchased the Engineering kit. I have had some trouble trying to complete Chapter 3.1 in the guide. In the pictures bellow I have tried to set up the 'Motor_test' module. I am trying to get the Geared Motor to turn. I have copied and uploaded the code to the MKR1000 board, but nothing is happening. could some one tell me if i have either missed a step or are setting up the module wrong.
