Topic: BASIC compiler (Read 291 times) previous topic - next topic

I have seen a few questions about the availability of a BASIC compiler for the Arduinos.

Great Cow BASIC is one that actually works and is available for free at https://sourceforge.net/projects/gcbasic/

I have used it with the Arduino UNO, but it has code to be able to compile for a number of other microcontrollers.

I have no attachment to the people who developed this. Just wanted to make you guys aware since there have been posts in the past asking about BASIC for the Arduino.

It will help you get the best out of the forum in the future.

It may not be the answer you were looking for but its the one I am giving based on either experience, educated guess, google (who would have thunk it ! ) or the fact that you gave nothing to go with in the first place so I used my wonky crystal ball.

What are the benefits of using BASIC?

Is it compiled or interpreted?
Please don't PM technical questions - post them on the forum, then everyone benefits/suffers equally
