2FA problems

With the recent addition of the Two Factor Authentication, I can no longer login from my IOS devices (IOS14)

Thre is no ability to move past the SKIP/CONTINUE prompt without 'downloading' something.
No thanks.

On Chrome in Windows - a similar experience (I'm in!), but pressing SKIP takes me to a blank page 'Unauthorised' - then by stepping <BACK> lets me into the forum.

Sad, because I like contributing here. but using 2FA is my choice - and one less participant won't be missed.  I may signup, but when I want to - not when someone else thinks it's a good idea - especially when I'm expected to download some unidentified software.

I'm sorry to hear that. I have never used iOS so I can't comment on whether this problem is universal. Maybe someone else here using that OS will comment on their experiences.

That's the best way to bring the issue to the attention of the people who are able to investigate the problem.

Is there any information provided about what you need to download? From my experiences with 2FA on other websites (I don't use it on this website), I would guess it's an authenticator app, but that's only a guess.

I don't understand what you mean by this. Are you saying that you were forced to enable 2FA?

A valued contributor like yourself is always missed. Even though this forum has a huge number of members, the number of long term regular helpers is really not so many.

Thanks for picking up...
Oddly enough, I'm on IOS now, because the auto-login via clicking on the email link bypassed the 2FA signup !

In short, yes, if I log in cold, it gets stuck at asking me to SKIP or CONTINUE.

If I press Continue, it does ask me to download an 'authenticator' despite having one already.(AUTHENTICATOR)

If I press SKIP, i get a popup to download something called  'continue', using Google Drive or Chrome.  No thanks.
