Topic: Unable to upload to ArduMini (Read 1 time) previous topic - next topic

Hi!
After many succesful projects with 2009, uno and mega I've tried to use Arduino Mini Light for the first time but I have a problem uploading software:
I get this error:

Code: [Select]
avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00
avrdude: stk500_disable(): protocol error, expect=0x14, resp=0x51

Connections seem to be correct:

Also Board type and port are correct.
Anybody can help me?

Thanx in advance!

Alex

You need to add a reset button between ground and one of the reset pins on the mini.

Click the upload button the the software then when the size message appears, press the reset button.

Or hook up the reset pin on the arduino to the reset pin on the programmer

Have a look at this. You need to hook up the reset pin to the RTS pin on the USB-TTL board - http://protopicelectronics.wordpress.com/2010/11/26/getting-the-arduino-pro-mini-328-5v16mhz-to-work-with-the-arduino-serial-usb-board/

That's a pro mini in that video article.  The mini does not have the .1uF capacitor for the reset.

You could add it though.  Connect one lead of the .1 cap to the reset input of the mini, then connect the other end of the cap to DTR on the USB-TTL (RTS might also work, but DTR is the standard).

sorry for the delay but...thanks! your suggestions about the reset solved the problem.  :)
