0.1mm Distance Measurement (Laser, or Lidar, or Depth camera)

Hi there,

Searching for "detecting" "sufrace mapping" with a tool (would be great if it would be mobile).
My mission is; mapping some sensitive areas (0-5mm depth) with a 0.1mm accuracy.

For example, a tire:

Which can I use for it?
What you suggest?

Try googling

surface mapping sensor arduino time of flight

There may be a sensor of TOF type that may do the job for you.

Hi,
The accuracy you are looking for, you may have to delve into industrial or laboratory grade sensors.

Does it have to be contactless?
