0017 doesn't load sketch on startup

Using Linux, debian lenny.

With all version up to 0016 the IDE would remeber the last setch worked on and load this when you started up. Also, you could add a file path as a parameter when starting the IDE and this would be loaded instead.

Neither of these features work with 0017.

The second is a real problem for me as I work a project folder system, where I keep ALL resources for a project in individual project folders, and set filer actions to auto-load the program associated with the file I click on. Typically this will include not only the arduino sketch but also drawings, parts lists, notes, other computer software.

Trying to work though dialog windows to find a file is a total nighmare :frowning:

You'll probably find it does work if you use 'File', 'Quit' or Cntrl Q rather than the 'kiss of death' to close it down. I'm not particularly impressed by it either....

Nope it doesn't :frowning:

Also I've just discovered that you can't close the filer window, with the normal titlebar X - this also applies to the earlier versions too. What is going on here? This seems to break all normal GUI behaviour

You are not the only one with this proble... the same behaviour on my winXP SP2. Disturbing, but... at least everything else works ok

Same bug on my WinXP SP3 with Arduino 0017... It's a very very annoying bug!!!

I've opened the preferences.txt file on the Arduino directory. It's seems that the "last.sketch.path=" variable is refreshed only sometimes.... grrr...
