1 led ring 2 pins to data in?

Hi guys very new to this is it possible to connect 2 pin numbers to the DI of the led Ring ?
i want pin 1 to send data then pin 2 to send data after not at the same time. It works great if i use 2 led rings but i only want to use 1 is this possible

Why not simply use the first pin . . . twice?

The answer is yes, that's possible.

We are all very interested to learn why you think it would be a good idea.

Its a little hard to explain as im not that cleaver at this yet my friend wrote the code for me and unfortunately died of covid. in the code it writes to a .txt with the info for the led ie colour speed etc. The led is used for a photobooth countdown so hes set pin 1 to countdown txt pin 2 flash white led. im so sorry if my explanation sucks

would it be best to post part of the code then maybe it will explain to u better

i also use a GUI this detects port lets you select a pattern and also speed, this info is sent to a .txt and it contains this
L12/F50000/127/1000/00000/00000#
As far as i can understand pin 1 sends this data to the led
Also on the gui is another feature were u can select a flash colour and this info gets saved to ma txt also ie Flash.txt for pin 2

if i use 2 leds 1 spins for 3 seconds then the other led flashes if i connect both pins to 1 led data in nothing works shorts out maybe ?

No. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

If you want sensible replies, you would obviously need to post all of the code, wouldn't you?
