1 wire counter chip / module thing ?? ...

Has anyone had a go at getting the 1 wire counter chip readable with Arduino. say like the http://www.embeddeddatasystems.com/CT1--1-Wire-Counter-Timer-Module_p_10.html

The reason I ask is that it would make speed and pulse count collection so much more accessible to the development community, There are lots of count scripts out there, but they all suffer some sort of de-bounce / false count issue, and subsequent false readings, the 1 wire counter modules have onboard memory, cumulative totals etc etc, all you have to do is read the appropriate variable ... ???? Correct me if I am wrong but we are not into re-inventing wheels here are we?

Who is "we"?

you might be but i wont be for that price, and still needing a board up its backside

PaulS: Who is "we"?

As in all of you and anyone else I guess ...

In that case, no, WE are not reinventing the wheel. YOU might be.

It really isn't clear what you are asking. If you are looking for a library to read that device, I haven't heard of one.

Hi, Have you looked at the downloads section of the page you linked. It shows info on the timer and the chip that is in it DS2423 Look here;

https://github.com/jbechter/arduino-onewire-DS2423

It is the library for the DS2423 and contains examples.

All I did was google arduino DS2423

Tom.... :)

Really? Price:$78.95

For that price you could throw 10 more Arduino UNO clones at the problem. :)
