Your schematic is a little confusing and difficult to follow, but I think you have roughly the right idea. And thanks for attempting a proper schematic instead of one of those Fritzing breadboard diagrams.

I fixed it all up and colored it so it should be easier to see and added those caps the way i took it, Im not sure were ST/CP and SH/CP connect is it XLAT and SCLK lines respectively?
