100k pot with a pushbutton?

I was wondering if anyone has seen a 100k potentiometer that also has a push button, kind of like on a radio....

I was thinking about a rotary encoder, but all th examples of controlling rgb color use a potentiometer that has 255 steps...

Any tips?

Hi, I'm not sure what you are going to do with the pot to control RGB.
If you are using an Arduino controller to control the R G and B channel intensity, then you will be using the PWM outputs and they only have 255 levels.
Also if you are going to use the pot on an Arduino, 10K is enough.

You could take the scroll wheel out of an old mouse. That's a rotary encoder and usually has a button built in.

The OP might not realize from this that pots OVER 10k won't work as well (according to the Atmel datasheet)

No, i didnt... And one of my pots is kinda buggy sometimes. I think i might be using 2 10k pots and 1 100k pot now that i think about it....

Thanks, I don't know why i couldnt come up with that myself..... (I will substitute 10k for 100k)
