< 10mm high limit switch?

Hello forum,

do you have an idea how to have the functionality of a limit switch in a space below 1cm in height?
The "micro limit switches" with a small metal plate as lever are ca. 14mm high.
Is there any way to have the wires run sideways out of the switch for example, or any other ideas. Optimal would be up to 7.5mm height for my purpose (very limited space).

Thank you for any idea

Consider using one of these switches.

Such a small amount of information makes it impossible to answer. What limit switches are you referring to? A link or picture, please. A drawing, not a picture, of the space you are referring to, with dimensions. And what is supposed to operate the limit switch? Are you stuck on physical switches?

Hello Paul, thank you for answering.
I made a sketch (i can't attach a picture due to copyright).

On the right is the small space. It isn't possible to mount a switch somewhere else, it should be between the cube and the plane. I have about 8mm of free space where I can place a limit switch.

Lets call them by their well know name of "micro switch". Do you need the SPDT type switch that you show? Do you need the lever, AKA leaf type actuator, or will a switch with a small plastic protrusion work for you?

Is it possible to use a microswitch spaced away from the narrow gap? Maybe use this style of actuator:

Any method of registering contact between cube and switch is fine. I will now be calling them "micro switch", thank you for the correction.

This, with a mechanical interface/linkage would be the obvious way to go IMO.

Can you glue a small magnet on the moving part, so that you could use a tiny reed switch?

This is just a 2.5 x2.5 x 16mm example

Then two metal dots on the back wall with wire leads attached and a piece of metal on the moving piece will be very thin and will act as your switch when they are in contact, the moving part is acting as the switch.

Yes, that would be possible, thank you for your suggestion!

I will mark the reed switch answer as "solution" for now.
Thank you to everyone who answered to this question. I appreciate every one of you.
