I have a few Toshiba C5242 BJT's.... probably not going to do much for pwm. looking for opinions on suitability of the BJT(s) for the light bar. I have about 5 of the C5242 so using a couple to spread the load is a possibility.

5V into the base and 12V through the collector/emitter? Doesn't sound wrong to me.
