128x64 LCD Problem

Hello! Im having problems with my LCD. Its showing up some lines. Yesterday it was working perfectly then when I started it today the lines showed up. I used Adafruit SSD1306 to check the display, then I use u8glib for the final product. Thanks in advance.

Obviously the wiring is not the problem.

So, the problem is the lcd itself?

I would hazard a guess that there is something wrong in the ribbon cable in the OLED. Not too likely to be a code fault.

Disclaimer: negligible experience with graphic LCDs or OLEDs.

Its fine, I checked the ribbon and its glued. Nothing is wrong with it.

See attachment below on the backside of the lcd

Well, there could be a dodgy connection there but of course, nowhere near sufficient resolution in that photo to even begin to see.

Is this thing not actually an OLED display?

Noisy power supply? The wires picking up stray noise? If you touch the wires does the problem go away?

OK, so that 's what the advertising says for it on eBay - which is to say they have simply no idea what they are selling - it has nothing whatsoever to do with an LCD (or SSD). :astonished:

No Noisy power supply, The wires are not picking up stray noise, I tried changing the wires to see if theres any changes. (I also changed the breadboard incase the breadboard was damaged.)

Its cheaper and affordable. But it still works but the vertical lines are in the way.
