The object is suspended above the Arduino, is that to give you incentive to get the code right :)
Looks like a fun book.

I would love to say yes, but actually it was just down to a lack of common sense on my part! However, the object does usually stay put once its on :)
That sounds fun.
Completely tangental, but it reminds me that I have, somewhere in storage, an issue of Radio Electronics which I saved specifically because it has plans in it for a low-cost home-grown tesla coil.
I noticed you have an Android book coming out too. Coincidentally, I read recently that Google has chosen Arduino for its open accessory kit.

Yes, that was a stroke of luck. Fortunately I'm only part way through the project work, so we can get all the Google APK in.
The Android + Arduino book will use a mixture of techniques for linking Arduino to Android including Google ADK (USB), sound modem, bluetooth and Ethernet / WiFi. The cover art on Amazon will be changing before its released in December.
I have put some more videos of the projects in this book up on my Youtube channel.
There is now a video introduction to this book 'staring' yours truly on the front page of the website http://www.dangerouslymad.com
Make sure you write a disclaimer or some legal stuff so no one can sue you because they put the POV head on a 3,000rmp powerful motor and cut their fingers off. I thought about selling POV stuff but decide not yet, not the whole thing, just in case someone gets his nose tip cut off.

McGraw Hill legal department helped me come up with the ‘legal’ version of: ‘if you do stupid things and hurt yourself, don’t come crying to us’.
Although it is a bit of a worry, if you can sue a supermarket for slipping on a grape.
Si.
I think it should be fun actually.Trying some dangerous projects and get hold of them is really gonna be amazing.
It was a great book to write. It was basically a collection of all the things I had wanted to make, but hadn't got round to doing.
I'm also a bit cheap - so I get a buzz out of keeping the costs down ;)
