16 by 2 lcd displaying rubbish

You are more likely to get help if you follow these recommendations that were given to you more than a week ago.

When troubleshooting your LCD it helps if you are not aiming at a moving target. Remove everything between the brackets { … } in loop() so that any message you sent to the display in setup() is not overwritten.

Also - define ‘rubbish’ as it applies to your display.
