16x2 LCD highlighting characters

Hi all!

I have to make a "choice menu" on my std 16x2 LCD screen with LiquidCrystal library.

I know I can make the highlighting of the "choice" with the cursor but I would like to know if there exists a way to "invert" the chosen text like this

Is there a piece of code to do this?

With the common "1602" displays, not as such.

If however, you only need to display eight distinct characters in reverse video, you can load those patterns into the Character Generator RAM.
